After a 6 hour shift of doing 5 minute quick-sketchy-get-idea-on-paper thingies, I'm feeling a little bit better. My art-eye is working a little smoother (meh. still needs some work though), and I'm actually getting more or less anatomically/perspectively correct stuff down.

I actually managed to get some ideas that I liked in this batch. No, these pictures can't really even be considered "rough drafts" ... they're just me putting characters in places on paper. I don't even bother really, erasing mistakes or anything, so often times in the idea-sketches a character will have an extra arm (or 2...maybe 3.) just hanging out. overlapping lines and notes and squiggles. In a day or 2 I'll look over these idea sheets and see if I still like any of them...those I like get redrawn on fresh paper. Those I dont get tossed.

Yah. My artistic process is convoluted and probably far more complicated than it needs to be, but thats just the way I do it.
